Intersection
It’s political.
A game that is not fair. And a film that shows why.

INTERSECTION is a documentary film accompanied by an interactive mobile game that makes structures of discrimination tangible —especially for people who have not experienced discrimination themselves.

We are living in a time where far-right parties are gaining ground across the world, marginalized communities are seeing their rights increasingly stripped away, and many progressive people feel exhausted and divided. We want to change that.
“INTERSECTION – It’s political” is a documentary film that brings together progressive voices around one table: Hatice Akyün, Dominik Djialeu, Matilda Jelitto, Phenix Kühnert, Ole Liebl, and Maria Popov share what it truly means to experience sexism, racism, queerphobia, transphobia, or ableism—and how they fight for a more just society.
But how do you explain these experiences to people who have never faced discrimination themselves?
Through a free interactive mobile game that lets players experience how structures of discrimination shape everyday life.
Here’s how it works: You navigate a city as a randomly assigned character. Depending on your character’s shape, color, or pattern, the world responds to you differently. Some characters benefit from privileges, while others encounter barriers and discrimination. It doesn’t take long to realize: This game isn’t fair.
INTERSECTION combines film and interaction: Download the game and play it with your conservative relatives, colleagues and acquaintances at your next family gathering or company event.

Impact
INTERSECTION is more than a film. Together with its accompanying game, it offers an engaging and accessible way to explore questions of inequality, privilege, and social cohesion. Whether it’s used for screenings, workshops, panel discussions, educational programs, or community events, INTERSECTION is a tool for sparking meaningful conversations.
In an increasingly polarized society, we need to stand together more than ever. Progressive movements can no longer afford to remain fragmented. INTERSECTION invites people to reflect on how we can build a fairer, more inclusive world. And that’s why we need you.
